CONVENTIONAL

For offset printing with conventional inks, the 79 Series is available in 25, 30, 35 and 40 Shore A. These compounds offer very high resistance to oils, varnishes and other ingredients in conventional inks. Series 79 compounds are optimally matched to offset printing conditions  and the rubber was awarded the GATF InterTech Technology Award for its unique non-veiling and constant-setting properties.

HYBRID (CHAMELEON)

A Böttcher exclusive, Chameleon roller compounds are designed for use in mixed mode printing. Chameleon rollers allow the press to switch between conventional, hybrid and UV inks without fear of damage to the rollers. Chameleon's rubber adapts to the ink environment. Böttcher Chameleon technology was awarded the GATF InterTech Technology Award in 2005. Böttcher Chameleon compounds are available in 25 and 38 Shore A.

UV

Böttcher offers special EPDM rubber compounds for UV / EB printing that were developed to solve the problems of swelling, shrinkage and / or tack, often associated with the use of conventional rubber compounds in UV / EB printing. These compounds have been developed with dynamic qualities that make them ideal for use in high speed web UV / EB applications. Böttcher EPDM compounds are available in 25, 30 and 40 Shore A.
